The setting of the game is the 26th century interstellar battle between forces of the United Nations Space Command and alien races which are collectively referred to as Covenant. In the game, as a player, you don the role of the Master Chief and wage a war against the aliens, in defense of humanity. As the Master Chief, you have to traverse nine different levels of play to win the game.
This game can be played in single player mode, two-player mode or in the form of a live interactive session with three players using the system link feature or Xbox live feature. If you are the Master Chief, the second player in the game will be the Arbiter and remaining two players assume the role of Elites. As the game progresses, you can also use the Forerunner computer terminals that are hidden, to access background storyline information.
This version of Halo is a much more advanced one with exception play enhanced graphics and sound effects. It has vehicles, weapons and game scenario that are quite unlike what you would have experienced in the previous versions of the Halo game. It is available in three different versions which are Standard Version, Limited Version, and Final Version.
