Just a year ago there were many PlayStation3 rumors. Actually most of these rumors had to do with the PlayStation 3 Slim, a new model of the gaming console, which is suppose to be the slim version of the original PS3. Rumors were adrift that Sony, the makers of PlayStation3, would be bringing out the new game console called PlayStation3 Slim that would be cheaper.

It so happened that these PlayStation 3 rumors actually turned out to be correct. Sony announced at a games conference in Germany in 2009 that it would be bringing out PlayStation 3 Slim in the month of September and the price would be around $299, which is a significant drop from what one had to pay for the original PS3.

The other PlayStation 3 rumors were that stores around the world did not have units of the original PS3 because no new shipments were done by Sony. In the same conference, Sony confirmed these rumors but added that shipments were stopped so that stores would have place for the new PS3 Slim model.

Similarly another PlayStation 3 rumor was started by UDN, a Taiwanese site. It claimed that Sony the two companies contracted by Sony to produce PS3 Slim model had the product ready by July 2009. This rumor maybe true because if Sony wants to release the model to the public by September 2009, then the models will have to be ready by July. This way Sony would have sufficient time to send units to the different stores around the world.
